PIAN MÜCIOT

Piemonte Chardonnay - Denominazione di Origine Controllata

VINE VARIETY: CHARDONNAY 100%
Pian Muciot (Small Plain) is the name of the vineyard that was surrounded originally by fields of cereals and maize.
At the beginning of the eighties, we decided to replace the old cereal cultivations with a chardonnay vineyard. This noble vine yields a wine with intense and delicate fragrances.

Altitude: 430 metres above sea level
North-Eastern facing slope with an 18% incline
Pruning System: Low Guyot
Average yield hectare/hl.65

PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY
The grape ripens in the third week of September and the best fruits are carefully gathered. After the stems and skins have been removed the fruit undergoes vinification.
Fermentation takes place slowly in steel tanks due to strictly controlled temperatures maintained at a constant 16-17°C. After this transformation, the sugary must is now wine, and will be decanted several times through the winter. After a few months it is bottled.

TASTING NOTES
Delicate, very personal and distinctive features; a pale straw-yellow colour with beautiful greenish reflexes; an intense, fruity aroma with particular fragrances of banana. A fascinating taste, full-bodied and with a delicate grassy scent.

GASTRONOMIC MATCHES
It is particularly suited as an aperitif, served in crystal glasses at a temperature of 10-12°C.
It is an elegant partner for delicate hors d’oeuvres, particularly fish and white meat.

OENOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Effective alcoholic content 11% vol.
Total acidity 6 gr/l.
